In the 1970's Maggie owned a fish market in Bar Harbor buying from local fishermen, where she filleted and sold fish daily. Being an excellent cook she opened Maggie's Restaurant, offering fresh seafood prepared in a simple and elegant style. In the 90's, having lack of fresh available produce compelled Maggie and her husband to buy a farm and grow their own organic produce and herbs for their restaurant.
